2 Nomads & a Travel Dog "Day 1"

Day 1 started a day early for us.  We were supposed to leave on Friday afternoon but had the opportunity to take off on Thursday after work, drive till we got tired and find a place to boondock.

We took back roads to avoid Atlanta's traffic plus we wanted to see the small towns.  We took off about 4pm and headed south.  Camped out in a Walmart parking lot for the night.

 

Asked Walmart if it was ok to spend the night in the parking lot.  They said no problem.  This was our first time boondocking so we weren't quit sure what to expect.  The only mistake I made was not checking out the traffic flow of the parking lot.  I should have parked on the other side of the lot.  We shared the lot with several semi trucks.
